Here I go!
This is a very good Summer for us! I having been camping almost every weekend all over New York State Parks and also at Cedar Point County Park in East Hampton.
This season the mosquitos weren't very bad, but last weekend we went for a beautiful Nature Trail around Gardiner's Bay, looking over the water with a quaint view of the Bay with sail boats in it's horizon and grassy paths under our feet. Just beautiful and very itchy! We got atacked by chiggers! If you were never atacked by it, pray to never be! Oh My Goshhhhhhhh! I never had a more miserable, unconfortable and crazy itch on my whole life!
I cleaned the bites with Hydrogen Peroxide 3%, then washed with Tecnu Extreme Medicated Poison Ivy Scrub and applying Cortizone 10 ointment, so it relieves the itch for few hours and the cicle just start all over again.
Now I just learned my lesson, to really soak up shoes, cloathes and myself on lots of repelent before I leave for any hike!
See you later alligator!
